Introduction

Please note the following information carefully!! This site is moving to a new web site at http://groups.myspace.com/faeriefellowship . This is due to various log in problems we have had reported with this site. So from now on, please re-register at that site and continue your friendly faerie chats there. Sorry for any inconvenience caused. This site will shut by the end of FEB07. See below for information regarding Faeriecraft workshops.

Faerie Priests and Priestesses are those among us who have felt called by the faeries to help them in their spiritual and environmental work. Those who are faerie seekers listen carefully to the needs of the fey people and apply their messages to every part of their lives, as well as helping those who come to them for help. Those of the Faerie Priesthood are often thought to be elfin messengers in human form

To become a Faerie Priest or Priestess does not require you to be formally initiated into a group or by self-initiation. The faeries themselves will initiate you in their own special and magical way. If you are called to tread the elfin pathway; you will know. The shimmering moss-lined pathway to Faerie Land requires dedication, commitment and humility to listen to the advice of the faeries and put your own ego and desires to one side.

The celebrations and rituals within the Faerie Priesthood can be in the form of working as a solitary faerie seeker or in a magical group, known as a Faerie Ring. If you are a solitary and would like to contact others following the same pathway for friendship, support and advice, our online notice board is for you to use. If you wish to start a Faerie Ring or seek members for an already existing Ring, similarly the online notice board is for you to utilize.

Orkney Faerie Museum is live with it's own web site!

The UK's first and only Faerie Museum, run by Alicen and Neil Geddes-Ward, based in Westray, Orkney, Scotland, now has it's own web site. Please visit us at the Museum and have a sneak preview via it's official web site at www.orkneyfaeriemuseum.com

Alicen and Neil Geddes-Ward  opened the UK's first and only  faerie museum and gallery of Neil's exquisite artwork on the Orcadian Island of Westray in August 2005. It is hoped that not only will this unique centre provide interest to tourists and visiting locals, but will be a focal point for faerie seekers worldwide. The museum will portray the stories and legends of the Orcadian fey folk and also the faeries of the world. Plans are in preparation for regular story telling at the museum and an annual residential faerie workshop.

International Faerie Ring Seeks Members!

We have created a virtual magical working group for those geographically unable to travel to a physical Faerie Ring. It also serves for those faerie seekers who do not have a Ring in their area. Celebrate in your own home or locality in the knowledge that fellow faerie seekers around the world will be celebrating at the same time as you. Tell us your faerie experiences and share your pathway with others.

The International Faerie Ring is open to all who sincerely tread the elfin pathway. There is no joining fee or vetting process. We trust that members will conduct their own celebrations and rituals with love, honouring the wiccan rede; 'an harm it none, do what thou wilt.' The faeriecraft pathway promotes a non-dogmatic, peaceful, honest and gentle approach to honouring the elfin people.

The International Faerie Ring was founded by authors Alicen and Neil Geddes-Ward. Dates of forthcoming rituals will be posted on this site and suggestions for celebrations given for those who need a little inspiration.

The International Faerie Ring

Summer Solstice Celebration - Honour the faeries at either sunrise or sunset; the potent in-between times. Wear roses or flowers in your hair and place flowers on your faerie altar. This is the crowning of the elfin year, the faeries most exuberant faerie festival. Meditate on the image of faeries dancing in a ring, revelling in the season of freedom and abundance. Imagine their wild hair, beautiful clothes and magical mood. Ask for a message from them on the Solstice and revel in the power of the between time at this most happy of sabbats. Leave the faeries a gift of wine, mead or fruit juice and a small offering of cake.

Look Out For The Next Date To Celebrate With The International Faerie Ring!
